Meet Wes Harwood
Wes Harwood is a respected builder, entrepreneur, and family man in Utah. Wes and his team, Harwood Homes, deliver stunning high end custom homes in the ski resort town of Park City. His unwavering commitment to quality, flawless craftsmanship, and exceptional Wes’s journey began as a firefighter, where he spent years serving the community. After realizing he wasn’t living life the way he wanted, and was not able to spend time with his family, he decided he needed to change his course. This led him to building a few small homes, which turned into building multi million dollar homes. He now has several projects in a resort community called Tuhaye at Talisker Club. The current project has been selected to participate in the Park City Home Builders Association Showcase. Within the next few years he plans to be selling homes anywhere from $20-30 million. He is also working on two commercial projects in Kamas.
Wes is also exploring a new market in Florida. He is investing his time and money into fast growing areas. He and his Florida team are going to be utilizing cold formed steel in conjunction with modular housing to provide more affordable housing options. Wes and his partners have started a second company called Disrupt Steel. They will place a cold formed steel factory locally in Utah which will help many builders find a great alternative to lumber. This will open up affordable housing specifically for teachers in the area. Wes has 2 kids who have gone to school in Kamas, and it is upsetting to see many teachers leaving because they can’t afford to live or travel to Kamas. He hopes to help better the school environment. Wes is sponsoring scholarships at the high school in Kamas tailored towards construction trades. He enjoys giving back to the community, and is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those around him.
Because of this, Wes has a unique relationship with his trade partners. His success in the competitive world of luxury home building can be attributed to his team of architects, engineers, vendors, project managers, constructors and assistants. He wants to see everyone around him succeed. Harwood Homes is embracing technology, and uses it to better the company. This makes it easy for everyone involved to be on the same page with schedules and expectations. There is a fun work atmosphere around Harwood Homes. Everyone is encouraged to be themselves, and take care of their mental + physical health. So, his trade partners are sure to put in their best work! Wes firmly believes that building a successful company requires a team effort, and he has surrounded himself with some of the most talented and dedicated professionals in the industry.
